Who We Are

We have always had a love for fishing. We enjoy spending the summer months outdoors as much as possible-fishing, hiking, traveling... Still, whether it is at a neighborhood pond or on the road, snapping turtles seemed to keep popping up in our path. In the summer of 2025, a close friend witnessed a very large snapping turtle get hit by a car. I received her call, begging for how to help her, so I started doing some quick research. After a few calls that led nowhere fast, it became quite apparent that there weren’t many organizations that helped turtles, specifically-Snapping Turtles.

After many talks with God, it became clear that it was our job to be those people-the people who helped Snapping Turtles. We slowly began to gather materials to provide first-aid and rehab for injured snappers. Our family is continuously researching for proper care techniques of Snapping Turtles and have created a “Care & Treatment Center” in our home. We make every attempt to rescue, rehab and return any turtle back to where it was originally located.

2 years ago, we also rescued a hatchling snapping turtle from our school playground! Arlo, OUR good dinosaur, is thriving. Arlo travels to local schools for community education and awareness. We also started the process of documentation to become a certified rescue (which we’ve found out is quite the process!). Regardless of the challenges that lay ahead, we firmly believe that this is our calling to help Snapping Turtles. With love, care, education, and faith, we hope to save and relocate as many Snappers as we are able.
